Stock and flow diagrams

Stock and flow diagrams are graph-like structures consisting principally of stocks, flows between stocks, and links from stocks to flow, saying which stocks influence the rate of the flow. Stock-flow diagrams originate in systems dynamics, aka industrial dynamics, but have been used other fields, notably epidemiology.
